- Good Evening & Good Morning Commuters
- We know how hard it can be to get food on the go, so we provide you
with a snack, while giving you the opportunity to meet people and learn
more about campus. Coffee, juice, and cookies are served during Good Evening
Commuters and Good Morning Commuters serves donuts and muffins. You can
pick up information from an on-campus department that takes part in the
event. You will have the chance to socialize with other commuters and
staff members!
- Housing Fair
- Whether you are looking to move closer to campus or are interested in
looking for another campus-area apartment, the Commuter Central staff
is here to help. In addition to our Off-Campus Housing website, each Spring
semester we organize a housing fair. We bring area rental property companies
to campus to provide you with information.
- Pizza with the Police
- Each month we bring together students, the police, and pizza! It gives
you the opportunity to meet members of the University of Akron Police
Department and Akron Police Department. Campus and community safety is
discussed, as well as other questions and concerns of the student body.
- Treat Bags for Akron Children's Hospital
- For Halloween and Valentine's Day Commuter Central works with
students to create treat bags to be passed out to the kids at Akron Children's
Hospital.
- Finals Frenzy
- Each finals week the Student Union has extended hours and organizes
activities throughout the day for students to participate in, and that
is Finals Frenzy. Commuter Central is part of the week's festivities and
assists with coordinating an event.
- Listserv
- The Commuter Central Listserv is a weekly email sent out to students
to provide valuable information pertaining to you as a commuter as well
as information on upcoming programs and activities. If you would like
to sign up for the valuable resource, send us an email at slcommuter2@uakron.edu

a student organization, Commuter Central offerings, and upcoming campus
events. You can pick up a newsletter in Commuter Central.
