Chapter Bio:

The Omega Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta was installed on March 24, 1922, at The University of Akron. Guided by our Purpose, our women strive to achieve academic excellence, philanthropic giving, ongoing leadership, personal development and above all, a spirit of loving sisterhood.

Each semester the chapter works to live up to their ideals. For the last year, we have participated in over 900 community service hours a semester. The chapter also raises at least $1,500 a year to achieve the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation’s Jewel Status. These women develop their leadership skills through 26 different officer positions. Alpha Gamma Delta recognizes the importance of academics. So it promotes scholarship through the Strive for Pi program, where the women strive for the GPA of a 3.14. Finally, monthly sisterhoods are held to encourage the creation of lifelong bonds.
