Alpha Phi Fraternity was established at The University of Akron as the Eta Gamma Chapter on April 26, 1986. Since then, not only has our chapter grown in size, but also in our philanthropic efforts and character. We strive for the highest ideals of scholarship and womanhood by living out our six values everyday. Sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and character development are the values our Alpha Phi sisters possess, which helps them reach their potential and prepare for their futures beyond college.
Our sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to help one another and their communities. Alpha Phi's are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of this incredible sisterhood. The innovative leadership and organizational practices of Alpha Phi's founders in 1872 set the spirit for Alpha Phi today...a sisterhood that values the past but looks forward to the progress offered by the future.
The Eta Gamma Chapter guides each member on their journey of growing as individuals and as leaders within the chapter and on campus. Our chapter promotes Greek unity and campus involvement, and our members are continuously supported in all of their activities throughout their undergraduate experience. Our sisters are individually unique, but together complete. Alpha Phi isn't just four years, it's forever!
