Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 13, 1913 by 22 collegiate, illustrious women at Howard University in Washington D.C. We are a non-profit organization founded upon Christian principles, whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. We are a sisterhood who has initiated more than 250,000 predominately Black college educated women. Today, we are celebrating 100 years of promoting academic excellence, educating, and actively participating in our communities.

Zeta Alpha continues to serve the community with programs including the annual Sisterhood Summit and Diabetes the Simple Truth; and volunteering at the Haven of Rest and Battered Women’s Shelter.
