Fraternity Recruitment
| University of Akron Student,
On behalf of the Interfraternity Council, welcome to the University of Akron. The best way for any student to meet people is to get involved in campus life, and the best way to get involved on campus is to join a fraternity. The Interfraternity Council is the governing body of 12 undergraduate fraternities on the University of Akron Campus. As a Council we encourage you to take the time to look at becoming part of rich tradition here at the University of Akron.
At The University of Akron, becoming a member of Greek Life is an excellent way to join a community of campus leaders, scholars, volunteers, friends, and brothers. Joining a fraternity is an experience that will stay with you throughout your entire life not just for your college career.
Each fraternity is rich in tradition and much more than social organizations. Each Fraternity contributes to both their local and national communities through philanthropy, community service, and developing leaders for our society. We encourage you to visit our 12 chapters and find the chapter that is best for you.
Here at the University of Akron we have a policy of continuous recruitment and we encourage you to join us in this process. We invite you to meet with chapters individually or you can request a meeting with myself and we can discuss opportunities to join different chapters and how both the recruitment system works and how the Greek Community works.
