Event Outline

As the capstone program to Leadership Week on campus (February 21-27, 2016), the E.D.G.E Leadership Conference will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2016.

• Registration will begin at 8:30am
• True Colors training and activities will take place from 9am-11am
• Lunch and a Keynote will begin at 11am
• Leadership Sessions will take place from 12pm-3pm
• Event wrap-up will begin around 3pm

Additional Details

Through personal reflection and group activities, attendees will learn from trained facilitators about the personality and leadership indicator, True Colors.

Over lunch, guests will hear from a keynote presenter, Dr. Kevin Snyder, about the value of leadership, passion, and how to be extraordinary!

Dr. Snyder’s interactive presentation, “Become UNSTOPPABLE: Extraordinary Leadership Secrets That Driver Performance!” will allow attendees to have a deeper understanding of what actions are truly most important to maximize any dream or goal!

During the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to attend a leadership session facilitated by selected presenters. Interested in sharing your insight on leadership? Submit a program by January 22. Presenters will be notified by January 27.

Conference Theme

E.D.G.E. is an acronym representing: Engage, Distinguish, Grow, Emerge. These descriptors were selected as the goal of this conference is to:

ENGAGE students in self-reflection, hands-on training, and group activities.

Allow attendees to DISTINGUISH themselves as a leader who has taken the intentional opportunity to further develop skills.

Provide students the opportunity to GROW as a leader through True Colors, motivational speakers, and a variety of interactive sessions.

Allow students the opportunity to EMERGE as a better, stronger, and more international leader.

*Parking is free, however a pass will be sent for you to print and put on your dashboard.

The conference is FREE to all enrolled UA students.

Non-UA students from neighboring institutions can attend for just $10
(if associated with a chosen presenter, this fee can be waived for two attendees).

Present A Session!

Sessions should be geared towards a 45 min. session block.

All rooms are equipped with A/V, laptop, sound, a white board, and podium.

The conference fee for non-UA students/staff is $10/person.
As a presenter, your attendee fee is waived. In addition, you are invited to bring TWO students/staff with you for FREE. Please just ensure they register with us!

*Regardless of your attendance as a presenter or participant, we do ask that you also complete this registration form - this will help us ensure accurate food and set-up numbers.

You are encouraged to offer an interactive presentation. Both personal reflection and group activities are encouraged.
