The University of Akron has rules in place to protect your rights as students and to promote a safe environment that is conducive for learning. These rules have been written by students, faculty members, administrators and the trustees who oversee the University. Together, we call these rules the Student Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct creates an expectation of behavior that the University community finds acceptable. In those rare instances when individuals or groups fail to meet the expectations of the community, the Code of Conduct describes the procedures available. These procedures are overseen by Student Judicial Affairs.
