Student Union Policies Non-University Food Policy Due to health and liability issues, food from outside sources is prohibited in the Union. Departments and Student Organizations are highly encouraged to utilize University Dining Services (The Union Market, Starbucks, Sizzling Zone, Zee’s, and University Catering) or Subway to meet their catering needs.
The University Dining Services is aware that there are many dietary needs, including specific religious and ethnic requests, and they will work with departments and organizations to meet these needs and accommodate our guests.
In order to alleviate any financial restraint that is incurred with the cost of catered food, The Department of Student Life has opted to eliminate student organization reservation fees. This new policy was designed to encourage the use of the Student Union as a meeting and event venue.
Assistant Dean or designee has the right to waive this policy
