Student Union Policies

Sales and Distribution

The sale is an action that involves exchange of money for an item. Distribution is an action of disseminating a product or item free of charge.

Registered student organizations and university departments are permitted to sell or distribute non-food items from any reservable space except dining areas.

Registered student organizations and university departments may request authorization to sell or distribute non-perishable, pre-packaged specialty food items by completing the Sale of Food permission request form. Click here to access the Sale of Food or Other Item Request Form.

Sale or distribution of homemade food items is strictly prohibited.

Registered student organizations and university departments may schedule to use The Department of Student Life’s Popcorn machine, Cotton Candy machine or Mocktail machine for distribution purposes only (minimal fee applies).

Conference/Convention groups reserving space within the Student Union may be permitted to sell or distribute appropriate items in reserved space to Conference/Convention participants.

Assistant Dean or designee has the right to waive this policy.
