Mini Bio
Dr. Gwendolyn Jones has spent more than 10 years working in manufacturing before becoming an educator. From 1971-1982 she worked at Bendix, Warner & Swasey Company in Cleveland, Ohio. She held several positions at that company. Five of the 10 years were spent in supervision. Before joining the University of Akron, Dr. Jones spent several years in full and part-time positions at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio as a lecturer, vocational counselor, and program manager (l983-86). Dr. Jones has been at the University of Akron's Summit College in Business Management Technology since, September 1988.

Dr. Jones has presented several papers at professional conferences on two-year college students including The Association for the Advancement of Education Research, American Educational Research Association, Noel-Levitz's Conference on Student Retention, Ohio Association of two-year Colleges, CAGONT/ELDAGG Conference (in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada), and National Council for Geographic Education.
She has published one article for The Ohio Association of two-year Colleges entitled "Minority Student Opinion in Three Northern Ohio two-year Colleges: Who are they and How Do They Feel About their Current College Experience?."
Irwin/McGraw Hill has recognized Dr. Jones as one of their "Academic Experts" for her contributions to the textbook entitled Practical Business Math Procedures.
