The Jackson Township Board of Trustees, Stark County, Ohio announces a competitive examination for Part-time Firefighter/EMT Classification in the Jackson Township Fire Department. Applications must be made on the Jackson Township application forms available from the Office of the Fire Chief, Jackson Township Fire Department, 7383 Fulton DR NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
Applications packets will be available beginning February 1, 2014 and returned no later than February 28, 2014 at 4:30 PM. Applications may be picked up and returned Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
All applications are required to be notarized before being returned.
All persons who returned a proper application shall take a written exam on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Additional testing requirements, site of the exam, and job description may be obtained from the Jackson Township Fire Department when an application is obtained.
- United States citizen
- A minimum of 18 years of age on or before test date
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess a Physical Agility Assessment Certificate from either Stark State College or Tri-C dated in the calendar year 2013 or 2014
