This is an initiative that is almost 10 years in progress, University Council has been created to provide a process of consultative decision making and shared leadership at The University of Akron! University Council has two student representatives on each committee and we would like to make a selection of representatives for the 2012-2013 school year. We are accepting applications! 04/19/2012 - Appointments

Mary Beth Clemons has been sworn in as President. Justin Orashan has been sworn in as Vice President.

Turner Anderson has been appointed as Senate Chair. Carly Conklin has been appointed as Senate Vice Chair.

Matthew Phister has been appointed as Chief Justice. Michael Langshaw has been appointed as Executive Justice.

Michelle Ashworth, Rachel Bodenschatz, Sara McGuire, and Kyle Joseph Steffel have been appointed to the position of Justice.

Bringing Back The Yearbook

• The University of Akron previously published a yearbook called the Tel-Buch, but it was discontinued in 2007.
• USG would like to bring back the yearbook in the form of an electronic yearbook.
• The yearbook could be customizable and it could be given out to all students in the form of a flash drive, free of charge.

We want your opinion about this project, look out for a survey regarding this awesome idea!
