The Division of Student Engagement and Success, Undergraduate Student Government, University Park Alliance, Dairy Queen and many University departments are pleased to announce Zipnic, a UA neighborhood rally, on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Buchtel Field on the corner of Wheeler Street and Kling Street.
All UA students and community residents (and their guests) living south of Exchange Street are invited.
This gathering will allow students and community residents of the University Park neighborhood south of campus to have fun together, strengthen community, talk about safety and enhance the connection to UA.
Event description: Zipnic is a “party with a purpose.” It is a community engagement event held at Buchtel Field in which both students and residents are invited. Zipnic invitees are those students and residents living in the neighborhoods south of campus (with potential future expansion). The event is sponsored by many University of Akron departments and organizations as well as University Park businesses so that it is provided free of charge to participants.
Purpose: To provide University of Akron students and community residents in the neighborhoods surrounding campus an opportunity to engage each other and strengthen the communities in which they live.
