Army ROTC offers the premier college leadership experience. Our coursework counts towards your degree as elective credit and allows you to foster and develop leadership through classroom study and hands on leadership laboratory where students are immersed in a leadership development environment. Classroom subjects consist of problem solving, management techniques, ethics, values, decision making and tactics. Additionally you learn about health, fitness and survival training and will have the opportunity to participate in adventure training such as rappelling, rock climbing, paint ball and orienteering. ROTC prepares students for leadership roles in both the military and civilian sectors. Effective leadership skills directly impact your ability to influence your environment and make a positive contribution to the world around you, regardless of your chosen profession. Leadership studies will enhance your academic experience and better prepare you to enter the workforce and compete for key positions. You may take our classes as part of your normal coursework with no obligation other than to learn.
We offer a variety of financial incentives for eligible students. Army ROTC has 2-, 3- and 4-year scholarships available. The scholarship benefits include payment of full tuition and fees, $1200/year for books and a monthly stipend ranging from $300 to $500/month. We also offer incentives for language studies and offer a variety of study abroad opportunities. The US Army Reserve and Ohio National Guard both offer very competitive benefits for students who are enrolled in ROTC that include tuition payments and paid internships where students serve in leadership roles one weekend a month.
