The University of Akron Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for distinguished alumni in the Colleges of Business Administration, Education and Engineering. Your help in locating deserving alumni would be most appreciated. Please use the nomination form below to nominate anyone you feel is worthy of this prestigious honor. Thank you for your assistance.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Must be a living graduate of the respective College at The University of Akron
  2. Must exhibit one or more of the following criteria:
    3. 1. Achievement of excellence in his or her profession or vocation to the extent that it brings recognition and honor to the College and the University.
    2. The unselfish rendering of service over a period of years to his or her community and/or local level
  3. Must be present at the respective awards ceremony:
    4. 1. College of Business Administration: Friday, April 19, 2013
    2. College of Education: Tuesday, April 9, 2013
    3. College of Engineering: Wednesday, April 24, 2013
    4. School of Nursing: October 2013 - Specific date TBA

Nomination Deadline:

The Office of the Alumni Association must receive nominations no later than:

    1. College of Business Administration: Friday, November 29, 2013 by 5 p.m. for 2014 - See past recipients
    2. College of Education: Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 by 5 p.m. for 2014
    3. College of Engineering: Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 by 5 p.m. for 2014
    4. School of Nursing: Friday, May 31, 2013 by 5 p.m. for 2013
