Welcome to the Western Reserve District 5 Web-Site.
Thanks to everyone that helped make this year’s WRD5 Science Day a success!
The Western Reserve District 5 Science Day is one of the 16 District Science Fairs held in Ohio each spring under the Ohio Junior Academy on Science. This year The University of Akron’s Department of Polymer Science hosted the 65th Annual Western Reserve District Science Day on Saturday, March 16.
Students in grades 5-12 prepared projects in one of the following areas: behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry, botany, chemistry, computers, earth and space sciences, engineering, environmental sciences, mathematics, medicine, microbiology, physics, or zoology.
We had a record # of projects this year once again, and competition was tough, but hopefully all enjoyed the experience and will grow from their experience.
Please see the links to the left for the 2013 Results of Judging.
