Audiology (Au.D)

The University of Akron and Kent State University, in affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, offers the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree through the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium (NOAC).

NOAC merges the strong assets of two university programs that focus on the scientific and clinical bases of audiology with the Cleveland Clinic Section of Audiology to provide students with exposure to the breadth and depth of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. We are dedicated to providing World Class Education in Audiology.

The Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) education program in audiology (residential) at the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296- 5700.

Admission Requirements

• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for bachelor's degree
• Three letters of recommendation
• Personal statement indicating why student wants to become an audiologist
• Interview (in person at Visitation Day, or by Skype, video, phone call, etc.)

Application Deadline

• December 15 for Fall enrollment (only admit for fall term)

Assistantship/Scholarship Information

Not all departments offer graduate assistantships. Students should inquire with the department directly to determine assistantship availability.

Financial Aid Information

Paying for college is a vital part of the education process. It is important to be informed of the many sources of aid available. Student loans are available to degree-seeking graduate students.
