Child and Family Development

The focus of the Master's Degree in the Department of Child and Family Development is on the individual, the family, and the relationship between families and the changing social, economic, and physical environments. This graduate program is based on scholarship, integrity, and the betterment of the human condition.

The GRE must have been taken within the five-year period prior to seeking admission.  The minimum acceptable scores are indicated below.

Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher are exempted from the GRE.

  • Applications to the master's degree program in Child and Family Development are accepted on a rolling basis. 

Assistantship/Scholarship Information

Not all departments offer graduate assistantships. Students should inquire with the department directly to determine assistantship availability.

Financial Aid Information

Paying for college is a vital part of the education process. It is important to be informed of the many sources of aid available. Student loans are available to degree-seeking graduate students. Information on student loans can be found through the Office of Student Financial Aid. The Office of Student Financial Aid is located in Simmons Hall.
