Speech-Language Pathology

The School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology offers a Master's of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology. The Program in speech-language pathology is designed to lead to professional licensure by the State of Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.


Admission Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or complete an undergraduate sequence of courses in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • GRE

Applicants must include three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose essay, and a resume with their applications. For the 2018-2019 application cycle students must submit their applications through CSDCAS in addition to completing the University of Akron Graduate School application for the on-campus program only.

Assistantship/Scholarship Information

Not all departments offer graduate assistantships. Students should inquire with the department directly to determine assistantship availability.

Financial Aid Information

Paying for college is a vital part of the education process. It is important to be informed of the many sources of aid available. Student loans are available to degree-seeking graduate students.
