About the Degree

The master’s program in Political Science allows students the opportunity to develop their research skills and the chance to work closely with renowned faculty members in their field of interest. The program provides each student with the flexibility to develop a plan of study suitable to his or her own interests, needs, and career goals.

There are three tracks in the MA:  security studies (which prepares students for jobs in homeland security); American politics (which prepares students for jobs in government); and Criminal Justice (which prepares students for jobs in the criminal justice system).

Student study substantive issues in national security, American government and criminal justice, and also acquire valuable research and technical skills.
