Affording the semester – what to know

At The University of Akron, we’re committed to supporting you as you pursue your education. If you’re wondering how you’re going to pay for college, we want you to know you have options.

What to do if you…

Experience significant changes in financial circumstances:

Want to review your bill online:

UA does not mail bills for tuition and fees to your home. Instead, you’ll receive an email notification that your electronic bill (eBill) is ready to view in your My Akron account.

  • In early July 2021, the eBill notification will be sent to your Zips email inbox
To review your current charges and your due date, go to the Finance header of the Student Center in My Akron.

 Need to pay your bill:

You have several options for paying your bill, including applying for the Installment Payment Plan in My Akron, which allows you to make up to four payments throughout the semester instead of paying all at once.

Choose the payment option that’s best for you:

  • web payments using credit cards and e-checks
  • mail a check or money order
  • financial aid
  • third-party payments and scholarships
  • installment plan
  • International payment

For more details about each payment option, contact the Office of Student Accounts at cashier@uakron.edu or 330-972-5100.

Want to grant access to a family member to pay your bill:

You can set up an "authorized user" in My Akron, such as a parent, who can make payments to your account. View instructions for authorizing a parent.
