 Have you been accepted to UA and still need to confirm your enrollment? Confirm your enrollment now.

After you have confirmed enrollment, it’s time to start your final college checklist:

Step 1 – Attend your Virtual Advising Appointment

You’ll receive an email with information about your Virtual Advising Appointment.

During your appointment, you’ll meet your academic advisor, discuss majors and schedule your classes.

Considering a gap semester or year? Here's what you need to know.

Step 2 - New Roo Orientation Day

You’ll receive an email about New Roo Orientation Day, which is an on-campus experience that includes learning about University resources, meeting future classmates and new friends, and exploring campus. New Roo Orientation Days begin in June. This year a virtual option is also available.

Step 3 – Apply for on-campus housing

The housing application is available to confirmed students in My Akron within two business days after submitting your confirmation fee.

Tip: For the best chance at your first choice residence hall, submit your housing application as soon as possible, but no later than May 15.

Step 4 – Submit your final high school transcripts

Your admission to UA is contingent upon our receipt and review of your final high school transcript. Please ask your school counselor to send the final transcript to UA after graduation.

Step 5 – Check if you already have earned credits

If you have taken AP or IB classes, you may be eligible to receive credit. Please have your official AP scores sent to UA.

Step 6 – Submit university transcript

If you earned college credit while in high school, request that each institution you attended send an electronic transcript to UA so that we can begin evaluating your transferable credits.
