College registration, housing & final transcripts

Have you been accepted to UA and still need to confirm your enrollment? Go here.

After you’re confirmed enrollment, it’s time to start your final college checklist:

Step 1 – Attend your Advising & Registration (or orientation) Program

A date to attend your Advising & Registration (orientation) program will be assigned for you.

You will be notified about the date and details in an email that will arrive in mid-February if you plan to start in the fall. If you plan to start in the spring, the email will arrive in late October.

During your Advising and Registration Program, you’ll spend a full day on campus with us to learn about life at UA, meet with your academic advisor, schedule classes, and meet other incoming Zips!

Step 2 – Apply for on-campus housing

The housing application will be available on Jan. 25 in My Akron. After Jan. 25, you should have access about two workdays after we receive your confirmation fee.

Tip: For the best chance at your first choice, submit your housing application as soon as possible, but no later than May 15.

Step 3 – Submit your final high school transcripts

Your admission to UA is contingent upon our receipt and review of your final high school transcript. Please ask your school counselor to send the final transcript to UA after graduation.

Step 4 – Check if you already have earned credits

If you have taken AP or IB classes, you may be eligible to receive credit. Please have your official AP scores sent to UA.

Step 5 – Submit university transcript

If you earned college credit while in high school, request that each institution you attended send an electronic transcript to UA so that we can begin evaluating your transferable credits.
