Biography

Dr. Carpenter is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice in the Engineering and Science Technology Department at the University of Akron. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Engineering Education, all from the University of Akron. In addition, he holds a Master of Technology degree from Kent State University. His teaching expertise is in the area of thermo-fluid sciences, in particular, fluid power engineering. His research expertise is in engineering education and the psychology of creativity and innovation.
