Am I Right For Sales?

Many people believe to be successful in sales you need to be chatty, super social or manipulative. That couldn't be farther from the truth. People who are likable, coachable, and hungry for success are most likely to succeed.

Can I take a sales class to see if I like it?

UA students who are considering a major, minor, or certificate in sales are encouraged to enroll in 6600-275 Professional Selling. In this class students learn what sales is all about. They learn about building relationships, learn a sales process, shadow a real sales professional and apply their knowledge as they prepare for and participate in a sales role play with classmates or mentoring business executives.

Academics

The Fisher Institute is the second-oldest university-based sales institution in the country, and offers one of the most comprehensive sales education programs in the nation. We offer credentials built around the needs of our students and the business community.

Our offerings include:

State-of-the-Art Facilities

In 2017, the Fisher Institute completed an extensive renovation and expansion. The 5,300-square-foot facility, the largest USCA-accredited sales lab in the country, now features eight sales rooms equipped with advanced video recording technologies to capture not only your sales skills, but also non-verbal actions.

Getting Involved

UA sales students often join Pi Sigma Epsilon, or one of our local chapters of the American Marketing Association and National Sales and Marketing Executives, or our unique Fisher Sales Society.
