04/30/2012

Do you know a 15-17 year old high school student who may be interested in technology? Invite them to attend CITe's third annual IT Career Camp from June 18 to 22 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) daily in the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing in the Polsky Building.

Geared toward current high school sophomores and juniors who would like to learn more about information technology careers, the camp will offer a hands-on approach to learning. Area companies including NASA Glenn (robotics activity), The J.M. Smucker Company (business process), The Timken Company (emerging technologies), Revol Wireless (mobile app development), Westfield Group (security/forensics) and Knotice, Ltd. (entrepreneurship) will provide activities.

The camp is free and lunch and snacks will be provided daily. CITe scholarships and other prizes will be awarded to top participants. Registration is now open at the IT Career Camp website. For more information, contact Dr. Bindiganavale S. Vijayaraman at vijay@uakron.edu or (330)972-8224.
