CBA Alum is COO of 2012 Weatherhead 100 Company

CBA alum, William (Bill) Hanlon ’97 is Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Peoples Services, Inc., one of the 2012 Weatherhead 100.

The Weatherhead 100 showcases the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio based upon consistent sales growth over the previous five years.  The 2012 Weatherhead 100 include companies that had sales of more than $100,000 in 2007 and more than $1 million in 2011.

Ranked 50th based on sales growth of 85.4%, PSI is a third-party logistics company that provides warehousing, transportation and value added support services to primarily industrial clients in six states. Its subsidiary companies are Total Distribution, Inc, Peoples Cartage, Inc, PC Sales, Terminal Warehouse, Inc., Quick Delivery Service, Inc. and Crown Warehouse, Inc.

In Spring 2012, PSI was awarded the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year Award. President and Chief Executive Officer, Doug Sibila, was chosen to be the send-off speaker at 2012 the Smart Business Family Business Conference in September.  The oldest company among the 2012 Weatherhead 100, PSI will celebrate its 100 year anniversary in 2014.

Hanlon, who graduated from the CBA in 1997 with an MBA (Management) degree, is the husband of CBA assistant dean, Dr. Susan Hanlon.  In addition to Hanlon, several key PSI managers have degrees from CBA.  They include Gregory Hughes ’85, VP of Operations, Michael Costello ’99, Akron Region Manager and Charles Ramsey ’06, information systems.
