Finding, Adding, and Dropping Classes
Your My Akron account is your tool to search for, add, and drop classes.
Adding Courses
Students can add classes through the first week of the semester by using My Akron. To add a course after the first week a student should contact or meet with an advisor.
Deadline for Adding Courses
Deadlines for adding classes will vary by the session in which the course is taught (i.e., regular (15 week) session, 7.5 week session, 5 week session). It is the students’ responsibility to be aware of these deadlines, which are available on the Registrar’s website. For more information, please contact your academic advisor.
Dropping Courses
Students can use My Akron to drop and/or withdraw from a course electronically. The drop/withdraw dates will vary by the session in which the course is taught (i.e., regular (15 week) session, 7.5 week session, 5 week session). Undergraduate Bulletin
The Undergraduate Bulletin provides the University's descriptions of every undergraduate academic program and course. It is important to note that the College of Business Administration’s courses are designated by a 6x00. These can be confused with some Business Management Technology classes, designated as 2420.
