THE SNOW MAIDEN (Intermediate and Advanced students)
The Snow Maiden is Dance Institute’s full-length story ballet performed every other year during the winter season with professional wardrobe and technical production staff and support. A SnowMaidenFee is required from each student. The fee and performance dates are listed below. Additional details of student participation in this production are distributed by the Dance Institute office.

TAP WORK SUMMARY (All students)
Dance Institute's Work Summary is a presentation of class exercises and/or repertoire that have been prepared throughout the session and created expressly to represent the vocabulary and training goals of each level. Additional information about all Work Summary performances will be distributed separately. 

August 27  Dance Institute 2018-19 Academic Year Pre-Professional classes begin
September 1 - 3  Labor Day Weekend Holiday No Classes or Office Hours
November 21 - 24  Thanksgiving Holiday No Classes or Office Hours
December 15  Last day of Pre-Professional classes before Winter Break 
December 17 - January 14  Winter Break No Classes / Office Hours by appointment
January 14  Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday No Classes or Office Hours
January 15  Dance Institute Pre-Professional classes resume
February 1 Mandatory evening spacing rehearsal for The Snow Maiden (E. J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall)
February 2 Mandatory Dress Rehearsal for The Snow Maiden (E. J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall)
--Students will be "called" by level for a specific time between 9:00am-3:00pm.
February 2 Evening Performance of The Snow Maiden 7:00 pm (E. J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall)
February 3 Matinee Performance of The Snow Maiden 1:00 pm (E. J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall)
February 19  UA Observation of Presidents’ Day  No Classes / Office Hours by appointment
--This is a Tuesday. All regularly scheduled Monday classes are in session Monday February 18.
March 25 - 30  UA Spring Break  No Classes / Office Hours by appointment
May 6  Beginner Tap Work Summary at 7:00 pm (Paul A. Daum Theatre)
--Last day of the academic year for all Beginner Tap students
May 9  Intermediate and Advanced Tap Work Summary at 7:00 pm (Paul A. Daum Theatre)
May 11  Intermediate and Advanced Tap Work Summary at 1:00 pm (Paul A. Daum Theatre)

Tap Fee for 2018-19 Academic Year: $436.00 
(classes scheduled between August - May)
Tap Fee Payment Options:

    -- 3 payments of $145.34 due on or before August 30, November 30 and March 30
    -- 9 monthly payments of $48.44 due August through April on or before the 28th of each month
Tap Snow Maiden Fee (Tap Only students): $20.00
Registration Fee (new students only): $10.00 
    --To be made with the first payment

Fees are non-refundable.  In case of extended illness or injury, please contact the office.
Registration form must be submitted each academic year.
