2016 class for new Emergency Management and Homeland Security B.S. degree

A new path for majors in Emergency Management and Homeland Security opened this semester as the new stand-alone Bachelor of Science degree is now available for incoming students to enter directly into the program. And the program's inaugural course, Introduction to DisasterFall 2016 EMHS Freshman Intro Classs, Hazards, and Risk, is being offered for the first time in the Fall 2016 semester.

This new Introductory class has 17 students, consisting primarily of first-year students,and is taught by Dr. Rob Schwartz in the Department of Disaster Science and Emergency Services. The step-up program for those students who have an associates degree is still available to give students different pathways to achieve their degrees.
