Other Resources for Girls in Technology
The team at the Community for Accredited Online Schools just kicked off a campaign to support young women interested in tech and to inspire more girls to get involved in computer science. They're building out resources that will educate students, families and teachers on how they can foster an environment which funnels more girls towards coding and STEM degrees and careers.
The first guide in the series helps students, their families and teachers understand the growing gender gap in certain industries, and provides actionable advice on how they can instill confidence that young women are more than capable of succeeding in these industries. A key feature of the guide is an interactive map that can be used to find camps and workshops where these students can explore their interests nearby.
