Where: The University of Akron campus
Registration: Dec. 15, 2018 - Jan. 31, 2019
- Registration is limited and often closes prior to the registration deadline and will not be accepted on the day of the event.
Cost: $18/student
- Mail check (made out to “The University of Akron”) along with your registration form or pay online below.
- Payment is non-refundable.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Kids' Career Day is an interactive experience to expose girls in grades 1 - 6 to exciting careers in STEM. Girls that attend will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that are led by and showcase professional women who are currently employed as scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
- Engineering students lead participants through exciting workshops and demonstrations.
- Goody bags filled with mementos will also be provided.
- Includes continental breakfast and snack.
2019 SEE UA - Summer Experience in Engineering Camp
DETAILS
When: Day camp dates: Monday, June 10-Friday, June 14 from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. (except on June 14)
Overnight camp dates: Sunday, June 9-Friday, June 14, 2019
June 14 pick up for all campers is between 2:30-5 p.m.
Where: The University of Akron campus
Registration: Deadline is March 31, 2019.
Cost: The Residential Camp Registration Fee is $500. Day Camp Registration Fee is $320. Scholarships available. Students do not pay the fee until they receive their acceptance packet.

WHAT TO EXPECT
SEE UA! camp at The University of Akron is an engaging one week residential and day summer camp for girls entering the 9-12 grades that immerses the girls into biomedical, civil, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
The camp includes:
- Fun-filled hands-on engineering activities in the morning that are led by our talented faculty, followed by dynamic tours of local engineering firms and then campus-wide activities in the evening.
- The campers also spend the week working as a team on an engineering design project or research project and then compete against other camp teams at the end of the week.
- Campers live in residence housing located on campus where the resident assistants are upper-class engineering students.
2019 Multiplying Your Options (MYO) Summer Day Camp

When: Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, 2019, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: The University of Akron campus
Registration: Deadline is March 31, 2019.
Cost: $260 (scholarships available). Students do not pay the fee until they receive their acceptance packet.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Multiplying Your Options (MYO) camp at The University of Akron is a one-week summer day camp for girls entering the 7th and 8th grades that introduces the girls to biomedical, civil, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
The camp includes:
- Hands-on engineering activities in the morning led by our talented faculty and is followed by dynamic tours of local engineering firms in the afternoon.
- The students also spend the week working as a team on a design project and competing against other student teams at the end of the week.
