Dr. Siamak Farhad
Dr. Siamak Farhad joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of The University of Akron in 2013. He worked during his PhD program for two years as a visiting researcher at the National Research Council (NRC) Canada. After getting his PhD, he worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in “Applied Nano-materials & Clean Energy Lab” at the University of Waterloo. He has published over 70 research articles in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and major international conferences. He was also the recipient of multiple awards, including the Industrial Fellowship (NSERC) and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC). Dr. Farhad is currently a Committee Member of American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) in the Development of “Performance Test Code” and a Division Officer of American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) in the “Energy Conversion & Conservation” and the “Manufacturing” divisions.
