Dr. Carpenter is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering and Science Technology Department at the University of Akron. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Master of Technology degree from Kent State University and his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Engineering Education, His teaching expertise is in the area of thermo-fluid sciences, in particular, fluid power engineering. His research expertise is in engineering education and the psychology of creativity and innovation.
