2017 HLC VISIT
We are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of the six federally recognized regional accreditors in the U.S.
Our next comprehensive evaluation by the commission will occur Feb. 12-15, 2017.
Ahead of the visit, we are required to submit a report (or in HCL terms, an "Assurance Argument") to the commission, due in December. We have convened a series of writing teams to prepare the initial draft; the draft will be posted for review and comment in late fall. It is incumbent on us all to provide evidence which assures HLC that UA meets the criteria for accreditation.
The commission has altered the process since our last visit, now favoring a more data- and evidence-focused approach rather than narrative. See the accreditation criteria and a rough timeline of activities and stay tuned for more updates and requests for input.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: SUBMIT EVIDENCE
Here’s your chance to contribute to the University’s effort to assure the Higher Learning Commission that UA meets the criteria for accreditation. Use this form to submit evidence to be considered for inclusion in the “Assurance Argument” due to the commission in December.
Information submitted through the form will be evaluated by one or more of the writing teams convened to prepare our Assurance Argument.
