On Friday, Dec. 9, the College of Engineering and Polymer Science in partnership with the Office of Admissions, hosted a special visit day for high school juniors and seniors interested in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, corrosion engineering, and polymer science and polymer engineering.

During their visit, students and parents had the opportunity to learn about our high-quality engineering and polymer programs, experiential learning opportunities and co-op program, student design teams, and participate in hands-on workshops and lab tours.

“I loved that my child could experience each department with hands-on learning,” said one parent. “This allowed her to learn about the various types of engineering and see what they were all about. Thank you!”

A visiting student shared, “If this experience is an accurate representation of Akron, then I’m going to have a great time here.”

Thanks to the Office of Admissions for their continued support, and to our faculty, staff, and student leaders who helped guide students around campus as they shared their personal experiences as an Akron Zip!
