HANDS ON EXCHANGE
The Exchange Street Bike Demonstration
WHAT IS HANDS ON EXCHANGE
A "hands-on" project that will demonstrate how Exchange Street could transform into a complete street— one designed to meet the needs of all users— pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
The purpose of this project is for the city to test ideas this fall, allowing The University of Akron and City of Akron residents, businesses and partner agencies to give feedback to help turn Exchange Street into a greater asset for the community. Founded by the Knight Foundation, Hands on Exchange will provide The City of Akron with essential feedback in the redesign of East Exchange Street between Arc Drive and Fountain Street in 2022.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK ABOUT HANDS ON EXCHANGE IN OUR SURVEY.
The event is made possible through the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
