DDS is able to provide support in a variety of areas related to mobile technologies. We are able to help faculty develop strategies to use their mobile devices both inside and outside of the classroom. This includes everything from using a tablet as a presentation tool to writing your latest research paper on an iPad. We can also help you find the perfect app to meet your instructional goals.
Apps for Brightspace
Pulse is an app targeted towards students and is designed specifically for Apple and Android smartphones. It allows a student to receive notifications of grades, due dates, announcements and other important course updates. Students can download the app by clicking on the My Tools menu in their Brightspace courses or from the Brightspace notifications screen. Since Pulse makes use of the integrated calendar in your course, it is recommended that you make use of start, due and end dates AND also allow your start, due and, end dates to be displayed on the course calendar.
While there are a countless variety of mobile devices, much of our focus and expertise is around the Apple ecosystem of iPads and iPhones. We use these devices everyday to do our jobs.
