Workday implementation to include employee survey, focus groups
The purpose of this communication is to inform you of an ongoing project at The University of Akron and to ask for your assistance as we move toward an end-of-year completion.
As announced earlier this week, The University of Akron is planning for the upcoming implementation of Workday ERP. We are excited about what this work means to the University community. UA is teaming with Avaap, an Ohio-based Workday Certified Implementation Partner to implement Workday. As a separate, but related, critical initiative Avaap also will assist the University with the analysis of our current organizational structure, including job codes, titles, classifications and job descriptions, and provide recommendations for streamlining and assuring that we have proper alignment within the organizational structure. The analysis will ultimately support the comprehensive University compensation study, across all administrative positions, with a target completion date of December 2022.
In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to all UA administrative employees, in three phases, to gain HR-related information. You will be invited to participate in a survey and one of several focus groups, conducted by HR and Avaap, to capture information regarding your current responsibilities which will inform future organizational alignment with Workday ERP in support of The University of Akron’s mission. Our newly established HR department of Organizational Development, serving as a strategic partner with the University community to help create and realize strategic plans and achieve greater effectiveness and productivity, will lead this effort.
