Biography

Joseph E. Biafore is a native of Canada and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto. He earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law in 1980. 

Mr. Biafore began his early career as a plant manager for Rubbermaid, Inc. in Canada where he later became president of the Home Products Division in Wooster, Ohio.  From there, he moved to become corporate vice president and general manager of the Consumer and industrial Division of Anchor Hocking Corporation located in Lancaster, OH.  In 1986, he was named president of Textron’s Sheaffer Eaton division located in Pittsfield, MA, maker of premium writing pens and stationary, where he later became president and CEO.    In 1993, after retirement, Mr. Biafore was invited to run Gale Group, Inc., a plastics manufacturer of screen and lawn maintenance equipment who had just landed the K-Mart account.   He continues as president and CEO of a private company that buys and sells plastic companies. 

Joseph E. Biafore supports the Law School Dean’s Club at the University and resides in Naples, FL.
