Biography

Sally Simons Benson earned Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Merchandising at Michigan State University/University of Hawaii and Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law in 1974.

For the past 33 years, Ms. Benson has had her own legal practice specializing in estate planning, real estate, business law and family law, including adoption, dissolutions, modifications and custody disputes.  She is a real estate broker for Princess & Pauper Realty.  She has lectured for the National Legal Institute on Business Law and addressed seminars on estate planning for Raymond James, AG. Edwards, and Merrill Lynch. 

Ms. Benson has extensive professional and community service.  Past and present memberships include:  Young Lawyers Board of Governors (Chair state convention);  Palm Beach Country Bar Association (Chair First Law Day, First in State Award); Phil Alpha Delta Law Fraternity (President); American Bar Association; Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce; Florida Association of Women Lawyers (Membership Chair); Inns of Court; Arthritis Foundation (Board of Directors and Executive Board); Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; American Heart Association; American Red Cross, Leukemia-Lymphoma Committee, Palm Beach Community College Foundation; Palm Glades Girl Scouts; National Board of Executive Golf (Board of Directors); Make Every Day Count, Inc., a non-profit for aiding juveniles who have broken the law due to drugs and alcohol and now need financial support in the road to recovery (President); and Executive Women of the Palm Beaches.

Honors and awards include: Young Lawyers Board of Governors for the State of Florida; First in State Award from Palm Beach County Bar Association; Leadership Award Southeast United States from Executive Women’s Golf Leadership; America’s Junior Miss Pageant participant; and national and state judge for America’s Junior Miss Pageant.
