Duo wins regional ABA Client Counseling Competition

02/13/2019

On Feb. 8-9, six Akron Law students competed at the regional ABA Client Counseling Competition at Drexel University School of Law. Our three teams competed against teams from several area law schools, including Fordham, Pace, New York Law, Pittsburgh, and Drexel.

We are proud to share the excellent results of all three teams and our collective congratulations for their success. After three preliminary rounds, all three teams—David Wolfram and Christina McCrossin, Heather Steele and Kelsey Ewing, and Amanda Wager and John Fleiderer —advanced to the semi-finals.

I’m pleased to announce that Wolfram and McCrossin won the regional competition. This is the third time in four years that Akron Law has won the regional championships. Wolfram and McCrossin will compete to the National Championships in March at the Baylor University School of Law. On behalf of the entire Akron Law community, congratulations! We are thrilled that these teams continued building a tradition of success that Akron Law has experienced in this and other lawyering skills competitions.

Also, a special thanks to Prof. Matt Wilson and Prof. Sarah Cravens who helped coach and prepare the teams for the regional competition.
