Marching Band Auxiliary and Drum Line Auditions

Spring Football Game

High school seniors are invited to join the UA Marching Band for a spring game day experience! On Saturday, April 27, 2024, grab your instrument and come cheer on the Zips during their spring scrimmage! 

• Check In: 11:00 a.m. 
  • Guzzetta Hall (157 University Ave.)
• Welcome Meeting: 11:45 a.m.
• Rehearsal: 12:00 p.m.
• Lunch (on your own w/section members): 1:00 p.m.
  • Food options on campus within walking distance will be available for purchase.
• Meet at Coleman Common: 2:15 p.m.
• Spring Game Kick Off: 3:00 p.m.
  • InfoCision Stadium

• Round 1: Video Submission due by Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10 p.m.
• Round 2: In person audition on UA campus on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Summer Symphonic Band

The University of Akron Summer Symphonic Band is open to any and all students and/or community members (former students, band directors or community members who want to play).

Literature ranges from standard works for wind band to popular and patriotic selections. No audition is required!
