1) Announce your name, instrument, and school name clearly at the beginning of the recording - allow sufficient time after pressing record.

3) Record a solo from the OMEA Class “A” or “B” list - announce the title and composer of the work prior to your performance.
4) NOTE: Percussionists are required to record all etudes (snare, timpani and mallets), followed by a solo from the OMEA Class “A” or “B” list on their strongest instrument - announce the title and composer of the work prior to your performance.

OBOE: B major and Db major scales—2 octaves—slurred. Selected Studies for Oboe – Voxman, Pub. by Rubank, p. 7 & p. 29.
BASSOON: Bb chromatic scale—3 octaves slurred. Method for Bassoon – J. Weissenborn, Catalogue #CU96, #6 (p. 117) & #22 (p. 130).

Selected students may be assigned to play Eb or Bass Clarinet.
SAXOPHONE: Bb major scale—2 octaves—tongued. Selected Studies for Saxophone by Voxman: Pub. by Rubank, p. 8 & p. 40.
Selected students may be assigned to play Tenor or Baritone Saxophone.
FRENCH HORN: F major scale—2 octaves—tongued. Preparatory Melodies to Solo Work by Pottag: Pub. by Belwin, #15 (p. 6), #34 (p. 13) & #83 (p. 33).
TRUMPET: C major scale—2 octaves—slurred. Selected Studies for Trumpet –Voxman: Pub. by Rubank, p. 18 & p. 28.
TROMBONE: Bb major scale—2 octaves—tongued. Selected Studies for Trombone by Voxman: Pub. by Rubank, p. 20 & p. 43.
EUPHONIUM: All Euphoniums, both treble and bass clef, must play the trombone etudes. These may be rewritten into treble clef if desired. The Concert Key (Sounding Pitch) must be maintained.

NOTE: In order to audition for this position, players must use an instrument with the minimum equipment of an “F” attachment and a .525 or larger bore size.
