Department of Public Administration and Urban Studies
The Department of Public Administration & Urban Studies at the University of Akron allows students to develop theoretical knowledge and applied skills in the public and nonprofit sectors of business.
The Department’s premier graduate program is the Master of Public Administration (MPA), an interdisciplinary program. Flexible instructional formats offer working adults seeking additional training— many working in public sector jobs in government and non-profit agencies, and a hybrid format, classroom and/or online, for recent graduates developing skills for public and nonprofit sector careers.
Join a diverse student population that spans the globe, Africa, Asia, Central America and Europe, and receive an enriching worldview about public issues.
