I-Corps Site

The goal of UA's I-Corps Site is to help faculty, students and the community answer important commercialization questions through critical market and commercialization evaluations. Typical teams will be comprised of at least one faculty member (Academic Lead), one or more students (Entrepreneurial Lead), and one or more Mentors. Faculty from all colleges and department are encouraged to apply. Faculty from other regional universities and colleges and early-stage companies can also apply. Students can apply independently to join existing teams or startups.

At the University of Akron Technology Services, our mission is to support industry through the delivery of training, testing, and processing services that enrich learning and optimize product and process performance. Akron Polymer Technology Services (APTS), armed with the capabilities within the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering (CPSPE), and the National Center for the Education and Research on Corrosion and Material Performance (NCERCAMP) through the College of Engineering (COE) offer unique services in these specialized, high impact industries.
