Fees for Programs

Special tuition and fees are in place for the following programs:

  • master's of public health,
  • master's of fine and applied,
  • joint Ph.D. in nursing,
  • joint audiology,
  • nursing anesthesia,
  • the MTax Direct program,
  • the Saturday MBA program, and
  • the English Language Institute.
Fee What it pays for Amount
General Service Fee Provides funds that support student activities and services, including the health professionals in Student Health Services, intramurals, UA-recognized student organizations, intercollegiate athletics and other co-curricular activities. $16.45 per credit hour, capped at 12 credit hours
Administrative fee Provides funds to cover costs associated with processing registration and printing transcripts. $30 per semester
Facilities fee Helps to retire the debt incurred for the construction of several buildings, including the Student Union, the Rec Center and the stadium, among others. $18.55 per credit hour up to 12 credit hours
Course fees Varies by course. See the Graduate Bulletin for details.
Transportation fee Pays for maintenance and debt service for our parking decks and lots, and for the campus shuttle. Students on the Akron Campus who take more than five credit hours are assessed the $175 fee per semester (fall and spring). The summer rate is $120. The fee covers the entire summer.
Technology fee Provides funding for all the technology across campus. $16.25 per credit hour
Library fee Pays for collections to support the curriculum $4 per credit hour
Honors Program fee Supports the program $75 per semester, paid only by those in the Honors Program
