Gamma Sigma Alpha
About
Gamma Sigma Alpha is a national Greek Honor Society founded on November 9, 1989, at the University of Southern California. The Psi Chapter at The University of Akron exists to recognize and advance academic excellence as a core value of fraternities and sororities. Its official badge features a white lit candle with a golden base on a red field, and the organization’s colors are red and gold.
Purpose
- To recognize the leadership, academic achievement, and excellence of Greek members everywhere.
- To support academic excellence through scholarships, campus-wide GPA recognition, research initiatives, and academic programming.
Membership Qualifications
- Completion of at least 39 credit hours.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Must be affiliated with a recognized fraternity or sorority.
