As a precaution, UA’s Dining Services has temporarily removed fresh tomatoes from its menu and salad bars. The move was made after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned about salmonella food poisoning linked to raw tomatoes. People in 24 states have fallen ill after consuming fresh tomatoes in recent weeks.
