New lot designations begin Monday Aug. 25
Time: n/a
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
Starting Monday, commuter students will need to park in what’s being called “C” lots or commuter lots. The great majority of lots on campus will be “C” lots, but a few will be designated for as “R” lots for resident students only.

Some of the lots that convert to “R” lots are:

  • The surface lots immediately north and west of the North Campus Parking Deck.
  • The lots surrounding Garson, Gallucci and Grant residence halls.
  • The top level only of both the Exchange Street deck and the East Campus deck.
  • The Quaker Square lot north of Mill Street.

The goal of this change is to open up more spaces in the decks and near the campus center for commuter students. The North Campus deck, the Schrank deck, the Polsky deck and the lower levels of the Exchange Street Deck are designated as “C” lots.

A map showing the lot designations is here.

Staff of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center want to remind members sleeved shirts that cover the back and stomach are required in cardio & strength areas. Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, sport bras (only), and cut-off shirts are not permitted. The dress policy was implemented for the health and well-being of members by greatly reducing the risk of skin-to-equipment disease transmission. Other dress policies for those areas include athletic pants or shorts, and athletic shoes.

STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO CHECK THEIR FALL 2008 COURSE SCHEDULES VIA ZIPLINE

Students are encouraged to check their fall 2008 schedules via ZipLine.

Log into ZipLine with your UANet ID and password
Click on the “Students” tab, select “Academics” from the list and then select “View My Class Schedule.”
Information regarding course meeting times, days and room location is given in real-time; in other words, all information is up to date as it is retrieved.

The Office of the University Registrar sends an e-mail to the instructor of record and all enrolled students’ UA Net e-mail address when there is a classroom change made in the course(s) they are enrolled. It is recommended that instructors and students check their UANet e-mail often for any important messages from the University as this will be the official means of notification used by the Office of the University Registrar.

Students may access a computer from many locations on campus including:

Simmons Hall – Lobby
Student Union – Laptop Check Out and Kiosks
Residence Halls – Computer Labs
Bierce Library – Computer Labs and Laptop Check Out
The Polsky Building – Room 192
Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences building – Computer Lab Room 103B and Kiosks in Atrium
College of Business Administration Building – Room 102

For students who do not have access to a computer, a listing of courses with classroom assignments will be available at the Student Union Information Desk and the Bierce Library Circulation Desk.

Questions regarding your course schedule may be directed to the Office of the University Registrar at Registration@uakron.edu or 330-972-8300 (choose option #4 for Registration).
