While working as a Resident Assistant & Orientation staff member in college, she was dared to get up at a college coffeehouse and try stand-up. She's been hooked ever since! Alex has performed at numerous comedy clubs across the country including Caroline’s, Catch a Rising Star, The Funnybone and Hilarities. The University of Akron's Circle K Club is having a Bowl-A-Thon to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America. The Bowl-A-Thon will be held Sunday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. at AMF Lanes in Akron and will cost $1.50 per game, with a one-time $1.50 registration fee. Shoes are free!

Participants are asked to find donors to sponsor their bowling abilities to help collect money for the kids--the better the bowler is, the more money will be collected from sponsors. For example, if a sponsor agrees to pay $0.10 for each pin knocked down and the participant ends up knocking down a total of 175 pins, $17.50 will be raised to help the kids. Sponsors can also donate a flat amount (e.g., $20) so that participants do not have to count pins. Participants are encouraged to find as many sponsors as they can to help Circle K reach its goal to raise $500 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
